FAQ

  • What happens if it rains/storms during my rental period?
South Carolina is notorious for its 20-minute rain showers. Our attendants constantly monitor the weather radar and, if necessary, will begin our storm preparation procedure — we will notify you if the storm is too severe to place the equipment for the day and a rain check will be provided. Rain checks will only be provided if we are unable to put out our equipment on the beach due to weather or unsafe circumstances.
  • Do you take reservations or prepayment over the phone?
    Absolutely! Call us at 843-310-3109
  • The sun moves throughout the day, can I move my umbrella myself so I stay in the shade?
To protect our guests and our equipment, we ask that you keep the equipment where it is placed at set-up. If you move any of the equipment, you will be fully liable for any damages. Please do not move the umbrellas!
  • What do we do with our trash?
Please be kind and make sure that you take your trash with you.
  • What are the taped off areas on the beach?
Sea Turtles! May marks the beginning of the loggerhead turtle nesting season for South Carolina. That means female loggerheads will be making their way onto the shore to deposit their eggs May through August. PROTECT OUR LOGGERHEAD TURTLES In order to protect our loggerhead turtles which are considered endangered, please remember to: Turn out all lights on beach at dusk from May 1, through October 31. Never move turtle eggs. Turtles are protected by federal, state and local laws. Pick up all litter on beach. Fill in holes or castle moats at dusk. Keep dogs on a leash from May to November. Report turtle strandings or potential problems to Colleton County Non-Emergency dispatch 843-549-2211. Stay away from nesting turtles, turtle nests and turtle hatchlings.
